The infrastructure for the Free WIFI service was installed by William Prekere Joseph, owner of Big Brother Technologies and Sean Stevens of Procure St. Lucia, both residents of Castries East.
Hon. Philip J. Pierre believes that the provision of free WIFI will help the youth and others of the constituency to sharpen their skills and better equip themselves as they go through their schooling other aspects of their life. Parents and children who visit the park as well as residents in close proximity can access the free WIFI services.
Very soon after the opening of the Marchand Recreational Park, the Parliamentary Representative for Castries East and Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre is pleased to announce that a promise to equip the park with Free WIFI has been fulfilled.
The Government of St. Lucia has been working assiduously to provide Free WIFI in all communities across the Island. The Government of St. Lucia is of the view that the use of ICT services by school children in particular provides opportunities for development and increased knowledge assimilation.
The internet service is equipped with 100 mbs speed and the service is powered by Flow.
